So glad I made my choice. I am an inexperienced cyclist and didn't want to spend money on any other electronic device/device. But after my cat's eye broke and I got lost with Que Sheets, I said enough was enough and got this device. I bought the 800 package and not the 810 as I don't need the social integration features. It arrived at 8:30pm the night before my first eyelid. I charged it and loaded my route and bike in 2 hours. For the century, the unit turned out to be perfect. Curve after curve, heart rate, cadence, etc. are all excellent. This is for those who rode their first century and very first GPS bike navigation system. I was then able to seamlessly upload my data to both the Garmin Connect website and the MapMyRide website. Everyone read the device flawlessly. Build quality, rubber backing, size, GUI etc everything is fine. I ended up with a newer "K-Edge alloy bracket" instead of the cheaper plastic bracket in the kit. In terms of navigation, I now have over 1,000 miles on my device. Sometimes when downloading a GPX file (to the New Files folder), the device forgets to give you step-by-step instructions. This can happen even if you follow the well-known advice of explicitly turning turn-by-turn cues on by clicking the wrench icon and choosing turn-by-turn = on. However, the block sometimes gets confused and does not issue queue after queue. Others I traveled with saw the same neurotic behavior. Sometimes it just doesn't give you a turn warning. Then sometimes it's just perfect. For example if there is a fork in the road and you stay on that road it sometimes doesn't even tell you which way to go (like Tom Tom or Nuwi for a car telling you to stay straight for example ). So you have to be careful. You can't drive blind. I also noticed that when driving through dense forest areas, the speed is simply not sufficient to calculate the next curve. It seemed to me and others that they were going too fast and couldn't keep up with the frequent curve calculations. Who knows. One feature that works really well is that if you're close to a course or starting a course somewhere else, the GPS tracking will pick up the course, warn you and start turn after turn, which is nice. said, overall I am very satisfied. He's saved my ass a few times and I don't go anywhere without him. I love it. It's fun to use and I really enjoy watching heart rate etc. If it had multiple navigation logic settings it would be a perfect 5 stars. Don't hesitate, get it! Have fun driving!
