Works perfectly! in Bike GPS Modules

Garmin was damaged for about a month and I really like it. I signed up for a race in an unfamiliar area and was able to focus on the race and not get lost. There were actually a few riders who got lost on the track which would have given me a snag during a 100 mile run. I was concerned when someone said the screen was difficult to read in direct sunlight. Of course I live in Wi, not CA, but by tilting it slightly I was able to see the readings clearly with no issues.

All in one. Easy to use.

I spent weeks on the websites and reading reviews trying to figure out why this Garmin 800 was hundreds cheaper than the newer Garmin 810. Well, it all comes down to connectivity. The 810 offers wireless connectivity to your smartphone and PC, while the 800 requires a cable for data transfer. Also, both offer tracking for every perimeter a cyclist wants to track. My 800 works great and I love how easy it is to use. The price here was a steal as I've seen it for sale elsewhere for a lot moreโ€ฆ

Perfect except for a few moments

Without a doubt, this is the best bike GPS. I tried to see if I could use my iPhone as a new bike GPS/computer but all the solutions were too confusing. I used the eTrex CX for my rides, which worked great but was too big and not ANT+ compatible. I have nothing to add to the reviews, they are all pretty much the same. I only have two suggestions for Garmin.1. Please update your screen resolution. My eTrex is six years old and has the same crappy screen resolution. I may be spoiled with myโ€ฆ

Great Product: Bike GPS Navigator

There are some great reviews online, lots of details, pics etc. See Nick man. I hope others didn't say so. The single best feature is the flexible data screens: up to 3 screens with 10 fields each. About 60 parameters with a speed/cadence sensor and another 10 with a power sensor. Personal disappointment: I would only give the GPS performance a "2+". It will work around my house (unlike the other four GPS units I've tried), but it won't track me when I'm walking through my local mall (which myโ€ฆ

Overpriced: GPS Cycling Devices

I'm an avid racing cyclist and need a device that tracks my routes and my performance. Garmin works well but is overpriced for what you get and the device has flaws; Altimeter is inaccurate, touchscreen is ok but not as good as modern smartphones - map navigation is very difficult and time consuming, route planning software is ok if your route is the same as a car but you want to ride on bike-roads, on bike paths next to some motorways or on paths that are not next to the road, you will have aโ€ฆ

Great addition to the riding and training experience

Only ridden 200 or 300 miles on mountain and road bikes. I didn't have time to really test the battery life. Based on a 4 hour ride, I can expect a minimum battery life of 12 hours. Turning off the backlight and not using the wireless heart rate monitor and cycling sensor can improve battery performance. The GPS is perfect for my needs. My track is accurate enough to see when I'm driving on opposite sides of the same road, and it records every turn on the twisty solo track. Turn it on beforeโ€ฆ

A great device a bit confusing at times

So glad I made my choice. I am an inexperienced cyclist and didn't want to spend money on any other electronic device/device. But after my cat's eye broke and I got lost with Que Sheets, I said enough was enough and got this device. I bought the 800 package and not the 810 as I don't need the social integration features. It arrived at 8:30pm the night before my first eyelid. I charged it and loaded my route and bike in 2 hours. For the century, the unit turned out to be perfect. Curve afterโ€ฆ
