I was a little concerned with all the reviews mentioning the lack of hardware and the complexity of assembly. I received all the hardware and an extra package of nuts and washers. The assembly went well. The J-Rods are much stronger than I expected. I would rate this 5 stars except my Yakima poles are too narrow in diameter to fit snugly. So I had to wrap the crossbars with rubber. (Even pool noodles would be perfect to ensure a snug fit.) I haven't tried the straps that came with the product because my old Thule straps are much thicker and longer and I've trusted them for years. But overall I'm very happy with this grille.
