Couldn't get it to work.

Disappointed with these braces. I have bought 10,000 of these cleats to repair/rebuild/restor RVs as center head cleats are a VERY common fastener found on touring trailers and fifth wheels. Specifically, I've purchased these brackets to attach an EPDM or TPS roof membrane to the top of a side panel, attach a Phylon front skin to the roof, and install MesaFlex aluminum siding. The frame is constructed from rectangular aluminum tubing with 1/16 inch wall thickness. Staples curl up like gum EVERY TIME. The stays didn't pierce the frame, so I set them aside and used a smaller head SENCO clevis with a 3/4" stem. The SENCO braces worked every time and easily penetrated the sidewall and frame. I've used 15-20 of these staples at various air pressures to get them to work. I now have 9,980 7/16" braces with a 3/4" stem that I don't need.

Pros
  • Staples
Cons
  • Not as thick as others
