I wanted to use this antenna but found that it could not be tuned to any frequency other than 158MHz. The telescopic part had absolutely no effect on the voice frequency. Upon further investigation, I found that the resistance between connector #6 and the threads of the telescope connector at the top of the lower section is infinite. I removed the shrink tubing and found that the top coil wire made no contact with the rivet attached to the telescope. This antenna was obviously not tested before shipping. Bad quality control.
