Review on Grex Video Stabilizer XDIMAX GREX-7.4 - Enhanced Grey by Brad Ward

In the form in which I use it, the device has worked well for me. I only use it for off-air programs and for copying personal DVDs and old VHS tapes. I only connect when using. The only downside is that this is an oddly shaped device and there's a slight drop in quality, but that could just be due to the switch from HDMI to S-Video. And I wish it had HDMI, but I know it doesn't, but I knew it didn't when I ordered it, so I can't knock on that. It's true that it doesn't come with a manual, but you really need one. That's what I do CONNECT INPUT AND OUTPUT (an additional video cable is required as the unit does not come with one). Turn on the TV. Then connect the power supply to the Grex. After a few seconds, "GREX" will appear on your TV screen. You should now be able to record normally. I've had no problems with DVD, VHS or terrestrial TV, I haven't used it with Blu-ray or any other media. I heard that some users cannot record cable TV programs. Since I've never used Grex for this, I can't say how it would work. I use Roku (HDMI only) and don't have current cable or satellite programming. I don't leave it on or plugged in when not in use.
