We ordered a Whister WS1025 Desktop Analog Scanner for our son for Christmas. A few days after I placed my order, my husband accidentally dropped our 25 year old Radio Shack scanner and broke it. I have ordered another one of this scanner for us. Both arrived a few days apart. Very fast. Husband set up quickly, we like the sound. This scanner holds frequencies that our old scanner couldn't. My husband set up our son's scanner, put it back in the box and wrapped it up. A few days later I asked him if it would hold frequencies when unplugged like our old scanner didn't when it was offline for more than a few minutes. He said he didn't know but I think we'll find out. Christmas came about a week later and that same evening my son came home and hooked up his scanner and indeed the frequencies were still there and it was working great. We both love our new scanner and my son and his wife love the one we got him. I read in reviews that some people thought it was hard to program. My husband said it's very easy to program and works 24/7 since we got it about a month ago and it works great. I highly recommend this product.
