Review on πŸ”Œ Cen-Tec Systems Premium 20 Feet Shop Vacuum Extension Hose - Enhanced SEO by Andy Kucrud

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Now that I've had a chance to run this hose through a real-world purge. Here's what I found

Fits my Shop Vac (a Ridgid vacuum that looks like a shop vacuum) that uses 2.5" hoses. Fits anything that uses hose sizes from 2.125" to 2.5". In the box you get a gray plastic hose and two black plastic sleeves that screw onto the hose. They don't snap and don't even hold particularly tight through friction. One end that connects to whatever tool you use is fully rotatable so you can easily adjust any orientation you need for your tool. The hose itself is surprisingly durable. Despite the description, the hose isn't particularly streamlined in terms of airflow, and connecting to a vacuum increases engine RPM significantly as the engine struggles to draw air through this 1.25" (half diameter) hose connector to a rated vacuum draw. for 2.5 inch hose. Airflow will be severely restricted, so don't expect strong suction from your 6HP super suction cup. The hose is quite strong and quite flexible. Its smooth finish helps the hose slide across the surface, but the DEEP spiral slot that runs the length of the hose tends to snag on things, so it's essentially a flush, a glide. The length, coupled with great flexibility, is a welcome change from the usual routine that one has to deal with when vacuuming, similar to a shop vacuum cleaner. The hose is super thin and will slip off immediately if it doesn't get caught somewhere. Like I said, it doesn't tend to snag and it's not snag proof. It just gets stuck sometimes. Apart from these few criticisms, I am satisfied with the product overall. He does what I need and saves me from all frustrations.
