This winch comes with all the parts you need. Mounting plate, guide and above all for me a plastic cable. I really needed portability so this particular winch was light enough, strong enough, and with a pulley it was able to exceed my needs. You can relieve the connections with a large number of connecting links. Incidentally, I wouldn't have done that if I hadn't stumbled across the Spartan Power battery clips, which power both sides of each clip with thick copper tape. Without these terminals I would use tabs to connect directly to the battery. With this setup, I can mount or remove the winch in just two steps, insert the hitch and attach the battery clips, and I'm good to go. Also, I can move it to my other truck if needed. So far I am very satisfied with the quality of these winches. Yes, I would buy it again if needed.
