I have an LG home theater that is about 10 years old (and still works). A Blu-ray player (which doubles as a speaker hub), a set of five speakers, and a subwoofer. Of course I'm happy that the whole set still works after 10 years and many moves, but I wanted to be able to play the sound of my new smart TV together with a DVD or Blu-Ray via my home cinema. This optical cable was perfect for connecting my smart tv to my blu-ray player! As I type this I'm watching The Greatest Showman on TV and the sound quality from the speakers is excellent! The cord is a good length too, not too long for my needs but still has a bit more length in case I want to change the settings later. Ignore the slanted view of my TV in the photo. It is actually intentional how my living room (studio apartment) is set up. The price was great and it arrived today exactly as I hoped! I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend this optical cable if you are looking for a very budget friendly option, especially if you have an older setup like mine!
