The sharpener is worth the money!

I'm always looking for the smallest pencil sharpener (with chip bin) I can find. They must fit compactly into the many small wooden pencil cases I keep by the front door with various sketchbooks, each drawer already containing art supplies; I never leave the house without stopping there. I bought three of these Kum 103.20.21 Micro 2-in-1 2-Hole Magnesium Pencil Sharpeners with Small Waste Bins - a long name for a pencil sharpener, but it told me everything I needed to know in just its title. measuring approximately 1-1/2" long, 1" wide and 1/2" deep, These are the best small hand sharpeners I've found so far. Now I'll look for another quality sharpener, even smaller than this one, I'm very happy with it. I took 12 crayons, most of them badly worn, and this little thing sharpened them all to as fine a point as I could ask for and kept all 12 shavings in a small space. The crayons were of the cheap variety and came in one of the wooden cases I had recently bought; However, I did not lose a single point of the color core. My blades were just as sharp and smooth. I've had some issues with uneven wood surrounding a few spikes - maybe that's how they came (I don't know); One side will be higher than the other - but you will get them. However, what rarely happens Sticking a serrated pencil in the sharpener hole is a 100% success (and it might be something you've learned well over years of sharpening), being able to pick the wood on the high side along the beginning of the To catch the blade (you just look inside and see where the hole in the blade is), make several quick, partial turns of the sharpener, and then remove the pencil with bare wood of equal height on all sides. This was delivered to me. I have sharpeners galore of every type I could find and usually several, both at home and in my studio, but this Kum sharpener is one of the few I've owned that ticks all the boxes , that I have. for a sharpener that is worth the money.
