Here's the color balloon trick

For any color, including black, you don't just have to throw balls at white. Instead, heat each color separately and when hot, extrude into a thin disk. use a drinking glass. Make different discs with each of the colors. Now if you want to color the project, melt the white granules and use scissors to cut a narrow strip of one of the disc colors. The narrower the color stripe, the lighter the color will be in the final white/color mixer. too light, cut another strip of disc wider or narrower. This method gives you perfect control over the intensity of the color instead of just throwing colored balls at white ones. These granules have a smooth flow after heating and mix very well. If you decide to ignore my advice, just remember to start with far fewer pellets than you think. For a teaspoon of white granules with a slide, you only need 4 black granules. they don't mix automatically, you have to knead them into white granules and they mix like clay epoxy mixes.
