Review on 🔍 Refractometer Hydrometer Equipment for Measuring 1.000-1.130 by Richard Edwar

I bought 2 refractometers, one for alcohol and one for brewing, both of which have very poor accuracy. When brewing, the readings always show low values, after which my beer is about 1.5% vol. I gave a sample to a friend who works for a large brewery, using Anton Paar's equipment and measured the ABV and found it to be 3.05%. in the case of the alcohol refractometer, I used a standard solution of 95% ethyl alcohol and made a 70% solution, the refractometer shows a reading of around 55% (all after calibrating with distilled water at 20°C, as the manual says). Don't buy, waste of money!
