Review on ACDelco D106P Professional Ignition Distributor by Daniel Paige

1965 Corvette 365/327. installed for a while. The Blue Streak points I installed years ago are rusty. cause an open circuit. These new points installed. Anytime dead short. Didn't open mechanically. Put them in a different dist. Same problem. Dont move. Changed the points from another distribution to 327. They work fine. Too bad AC Delco D106, unpacked, defective. High quality material, good spring tension, everything ok. They just don't work. Compared to Blue Streaks and a set removed by another dist, the base lags behind. The curved slot is on the opposite side. Not the seller's fault. Blame the company that made them. Troubleshooting took me a few hours. Using a rat tail file the base/mount can be cleaned. let them work I shouldn't have done that. This is not the slag left over from operating the machine. Just badly done. So tired of getting crappy parts from the companies that make them. Again nothing to do with the seller. They sold what they thought was a quality part at a fair price. The delivery was quick and well packaged. Nice people. The seller got robbed, I got robbed by the same people who made the part.
