This was the closest thing I wanted to get in a product group. It is durable and easy to connect to the spring arm mount. I have it floating above my right monitor (also on my arm) over my old laptop. However, it would make more sense if the two lower arms were more of a flat C-shape. I understand that it is difficult to make this a standard due to the different possible sizes of laptops. My 17 inch Dell Precision is having some trouble staying in place. The extra parts that were supposed to allow me to hold the laptop against the screws were useless with my laptop. I could see it working on a smaller one, or if I don't mount it almost vertically. Instead I used velcro to hold the top in place and velcro on the back to give the whole thing more strength.
