There is no way around it. This piece of steel is too expensive. You can get a ball of the same weight or more for a lot less money, and I'm not even talking about "non-branded" options. Kurt and Reese both offer 12,000# balls at a much lower price than Equal-i-zer "sprinkled with Pixie Magic Dust". I think it's not enough that you spend $600-$700 on an Equal-i-zer clutch, they feel the need to rock you on the ball too.
