Unique but Limited: Portable Speakers and Docking Stations

Wonderful and iconic design make them a good choice, but limited features and lack of portability make them a disadvantage for the price. These speakers utilize a wireless stereo system with a reasonable range of 20 to 40 feet from the source, depending on obstructions. I've tested the speakers over 10 feet apart and they work well. The controls are simple, streamlined and responsive. My speakers are heavily used and have little to no wear and tear, so when shipping, take precautions to protect the speaker grilles to avoid denting. It may look like four speakers in one box, but only the front grille is the working speaker. The extra space is used to vibrate the bass. The weight of these speakers is good and the battery life can exceed the advertised 8 hours total in a Bluetooth and stereo pair. Dual USB charging cable is a plus. The sound is good but a little tinny, some EQ can help squeeze out more bass but I'd be wary of turning the volume up too high. Volume might seem limited in mono, but with the two speakers turned on, it's enough to fill a large room with high ceilings. The bass is better than expected for a Bluetooth speaker in general, but maybe not for the price. The main downside is the lack of control with no ability to reverse for forward lanes, which you'll reach after your phone. Portability is by far the biggest limitation. The speaker buttons are so sensitive that they can be pressed and turned on multiple times. These speakers would be a lot more useful if they came with a carrying case or even a cover to cover the buttons.
