Should work well to keep debris out of the tank
The gas cap fits my 2020 and only takes about 1/16th of a turn to lock it in place. It's a little odd to only turn it that far, but it should keep dirt out of the tank as that's the o-ring's job. . I have found that the magnet is strong enough to hold the cap on the gas cap.
