Update: After only 3 years the clock stopped working. It has always been slow since it was new, constantly losing 1 minute per month. I wasn't aware of this when I wrote my first review. Today he has lost 1.5 hours in the last 6 (he has a new battery). For the price, the watch should last for years. Very disappointed with the quality. waste of money. This clock fits perfectly in our living room. Classic style, a little dated but not too much. Soothing, barely audible tick tock. No bells. Numerals, not Roman. wood, not plastic. Some have complained about the pendulum hitting the box. Mine worked at first, but I adjusted the balance a bit and it stopped working. Now it dangles a bit from the square, but not enough to notice - and I'm picky. Customer service is incredible too. Personal attention is a rare pleasure. I love this watch and the company that sells it.
