Review on Creations SB751 Forager Colorful Flowers by Lisa Kruit

Finally a hat toy my eclectus didn't destroy in hours.

I'm a first-time parrot owner and definitely not an expert on the subject, but every website says that a parrot is happy and healthy when it has some kind of device that stimulates its eating instincts. I've tried a few food toys in the past but my Eclectus parrot chewed on them to get at the treats inside and after a few hours they were a decomposed mess lying on the floor of their cage. This toy is simply a PVC elbow with a bunch of brightly colored plastic beads on a strong chain that hangs from the top of the cage. I moved it a bit away from the perch in the cage for my parrot to reach and since it is designed to rotate when pushed my parrot has to find a way to stop it from rotating while he's trying to get the goodies in. One side open and the other side has a plastic lid, so after the light crop is gone from the open side she needs to figure out how to keep the plastic lid open and prevent it from spinning around to get the rest of the goodies on the other side. I put dried fruit, almonds, and sunflower seeds inside (never her regular food or fresh fruit) and she spends hours figuring out how to keep the lid open so it doesn't twist and hang on the pole to get at the treats reach. . She's smart, so I move her around the cage from time to time to encourage her to come up with a new strategy to get the treats in.
