-------One month update ------- I originally gave this a solid 4 star rating The Reasoning that I liked the ease of use of the camera but found it a bit grainy. However, after extensive use over the Christmas period, I've received so many compliments on the picture quality from friends and family that I'm now upgrading my rating to 5 stars! Even my doctor commented on the quality during the telemedicine appointment! If that isn't a loud endorsement then I don't know what is. ----------- -------------- -- If you can connect a standard USB cable to your laptop's USB port, you're good to go with the setup start this webcam. No hassle because no app, no login, no complexity etc. It's just plug and play. I wish I didn't need it at all, but my Macbook's built-in camera suddenly died and I can't face going to the Apple Store now during the holidays (and the pandemic!). So if you're in the same situation as me, or maybe have an older family member who doesn't have a built-in camera at all, this is a good temporary solution, especially during these pandemic holidays. Even a techie can get started with the setup - plug the USB cable (included) into your computer's USB port and you're good to go. Mount the camera wherever you want. Either use a small but flexible mini tripod (included) or balance the camera on the top edge of your laptop/computer. Then open a video conferencing app like Zoom, Google Meet, Skype, etc. and start a video call. Voila! That's all. You don't have to read the manual much. The granularity is a bit more than I was hoping for (see photo). do most of my photos with the sticker in place.) That said, I'm happy to give this product 4 stars for its extreme ease of use----you'll get up to 30 years of age the moment you open the box. seconds.
