Review on πŸ”‹ Dive into Power with the DEWALT DCH133B Brushless D Handle Rotary Tool by Marlo Schlachter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Bought to rip up an old floor tile, worked great!

Bought to help me remove old ceramic tile from my kitchen because the sledgehammer and chisel method was terribly inefficient and renting a demo hammer would be almost as expensive so at least I can get it on this way save the tool for future projects. I already have a couple of DeWalt 20v brushless tools so I bought them so I could use the same batteries for everything. I just used a flat SDS hammer and a tile chisel and it worked wonders. The tiles fit into large pieces and this method was much easier on the back. The drill also easily tore a thin layer. I received 100 square meters of tiles and laid them in 4 hours at a fairly slow pace. My only minor complaint is that the adjustable handle can loosen during use because you twist counter-clockwise to loosen, which is the natural direction your hand moves when using the tool. Also make sure you have a larger battery as I only had 2 small batteries for an impact driver and this drill eats up the smaller battery pretty quickly. Overall the tool worked exactly as I had hoped and would highly recommend it.

Pros
  • Drill
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
