Read many reviews on this site. I tend to focus on low values to see if there is a pattern. You can tell by the date of my review that this is a recent purchase and the unit is an older model (many of the early reviews are a few years old). Based on a number of reviews I read, I was concerned about its ability to pick up satellite signals. I found it picked up satellite signals very well. I started with clear skies and got at least 6 satellites with good signal strength. He soon had my position and I made a waypoint in the driveway. Ride in his van. It kept a signal the whole time and I didn't have it on the dash. I had it on the center console with a close view of the windshield. In the house, by the window, it receives the signal normally. In the bedroom, with all the blinds on the windows closed, two satellites began to appear. I didn't expect it to really work in those conditions and didn't wait to see if it would actually find my position. Conclusion: It seems to usually catch the signal. I will experiment more and update this review as needed.
