Harden the bits. for jobber drills
In the first set I received the 1/2 inch drill had a chipped top cutting edge. I called to complain as it was damaged right out of the box. They sent me a brand new set and a return label to send the original set back. I drilled stainless steel. They cut through with no problem. I also used the cutting oil that came with it. Not for drilling holes when trying to increase hole size.
