Type of review

They look worthless but cut through 1/8-inch -Stainless steel heavy. but some just about go through with cutting fluid. I would like to know if there are better stainless steel drill bits.

Pros
  • Changes the microstructure of carbon by depositing carbides, increasing wear resistance
Cons
  • So far so good

Harden the bits. for jobber drills

In the first set I received the 1/2 inch drill had a chipped top cutting edge. I called to complain as it was damaged right out of the box. They sent me a brand new set and a return label to send the original set back. I drilled stainless steel. They cut through with no problem. I also used the cutting oil that came with it. Not for drilling holes when trying to increase hole size.

Pros
  • Nitrogen is sprayed onto the surface during the nitriding process to create a surface hardening
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

They feel very brittle.

In general. However, this was the first time I've bought this cryogenic nitrided version and the first time I've used it the first time I spin the racquet, the tip cracked, a piece broke off. I drilled about 1/4 through the mild steel with a regular hand drill and that was all it took. I'll keep buying Norseman, not those red ones, I'll stick with the black ones

Pros
  • Outstanding durability and exceptional corrosion resistance.
Cons
  • Not sure.
