Review on ☕ BUNN Heat and Brew Programmable Coffee Maker, 10-Cup Capacity, Stainless Steel by David Kits

Disappointingly good option for kitchen and dining room

After spending hours researching different coffee makers I decided this was the best option for me but ended up returning it. The biggest problem was that he was dripping every few seconds for at least 10 minutes after saying he was going to brew a beer. This always creates a mess, either dripping onto the coffee warmer when you remove the coffee pot or dripping all over the place when you remove the filter holder. Another problem is that there is no way to clean the tank. Why not just make the entire top detachable? You have to pour water through the plastic grids, which you will splash back on if you get hit with water. It has graduated levels showing how much water is in it, but they are very difficult to read. The lid cannot be opened far enough, only about 90 degrees. The way you have to tilt the coffee pot all the way to empty it interferes with the lid. And for a $130 coffee maker, there shouldn't be any plastic in the tank! The coffee tasted weird because of the plastic! Even after about 10 cycles of trying to flush the block. Also, the coffee pot lid kept falling off because as I said the coffee pot is designed in such a way that it has to be tilted completely to pour out all the water/coffee. After all I didn't. Note the huge difference in taste between this unit and my old $20 Mr. This was very disappointing as I know the traditional Bunn coffee maker makes some of the best coffees. I would go with the traditional Bunn model but I don't like the idea of leaving the tank on and heating 24/7. I was hoping this device would be the best of both worlds, but it isn't.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some little things
