Review on SCOSCHE MAGCD2 MagicMount Universal Magnetic by Maurice Arnold

Not a fan. for cradle

I was traveling and needed something for my iPad (9 inch). I wasn't sure what would fit my girlfriend's car so I bought two different mounts from SCOSCHE. For the record, I use a random sized mount I bought here and it holds my iPad and phone like a pro. Not only does it not hold my iPad, it barely holds my phone either. The magnet is incredibly weak and my phone kept slipping off. Driving down Newark's beautifully cobbled streets with my phone plugged in, I was on the go the entire time. As I said, I have a similar setup in my car, so the metal plates used with my phone are not an issue. I compared this magnet to the magnet on another SCOSCHE mount I bought and it was day and night. The other held both my phone and iPad, no problem. "Just unscrew and swap heads," you say? Well, completely different fit, so not interchangeable. The other one didn't work either, but for different reasons. The only plus I have is that it doesn't come out when you put it in the power slot. Thus, the fastening is reliable, albeit due to the fact that when removing the console, it almost breaks out. Very disappointed. A good magnet would make it a 4/5 star.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
