Installed this switch on August 17th instead. The boat is stored on a hoist, covered, no water leakage, the fresh water pump is de-energized. Today they called from the marina and said there was a leak in my boat. When I got there the bilge pump was working. The hold was practically dry, well below where he was supposed to turn. This switch was fried in less than 5 months. I tested it and found that there is a lot of variation in performance through the switch. This switch sucks. I'll stick with this brand unless I want to restore that bilge area, which I don't want to do. So I bought a replacement from West Marine and paid $13 for a 2 year warranty. I will look for a suitable replacement. Avoid this if you can.
