I've never seen anything like this. I fitted it to my DeWalt impact gun, installed some lug nuts and after that I couldn't get the socket out of the gun. I tried everything to get him up, but he just refused to move. I eventually found that the retaining ball on the DeWalt anvil was actually not rounded enough to slide out of the retaining hole in the socket. I had to grab the sharp end of the nail to push the locking ball in slightly and then it immediately fell out. This is the only outlet I've ever had this problem with. If they had made a little chamfer on the inside of the holes I probably wouldn't have had a problem with that.
