I bought this to use with a free diagnostic software application (TigerTool) developed for some Triumph bikes to reset the service intervals, Bleed the ABS brakes and check the throttle damper. Read/Clear Body Balance and ECU Trouble Codes. The software developer recommended this particular brand of OBD-II scanner "bbfly" because he developed the software for the specific FTDI chip in that scanner. Apparently there are some cheap scanners on the market that use cloned chips (I don't know the details, those are just my guesses) that may not work properly with his software. Following the instructions that came with the scanner, scanner, I downloaded the correct driver, booted it up on my Windows 10 laptop, and then plugged the scanner into the USB port. It was recognized immediately and the correct driver was loaded without any problems. Following the software developer's procedure (and making sure the correct port was set in the software) connected the scanner to my Triumph ECU and I was able to determine the fault code by clearing it.
