Not worth the hassle

Not easy to use with my Surface Pro. It uses an old-school connection to connect, and Windows 10 doesn't like that. Just get a code scanner, save money and get rid of the headache.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Secret

No connection with GuzziDiag

Tried all kinds of settings and drivers and it doesn't work with Guzzidiag even with FTDi 232RL chipset installed in it (I opened the case and checked it)

Pros
  • Good price
Cons
  • Not sure

Great for TigerTool

Purchased for use with Tiger Tool 2.5 diagnostic software for Triumph Explorer motorcycles. Works great for this purpose with no configuration issues. Not tested for vehicles.

Great product for the price

Seems to work great. It says Windows is supported, but I decided to try Linux and it works fine with the Python OBD module (although the engine needs to be running).

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • old

I have an L300 Saturn; It ran on Windows in a virtual environment with VMWare Workstation Linux Trial Environment and everything was 100% readable. However; it gave me the wrong car name. The code output showed the same codes as before + the current code that disabled the vehicle.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Upgrades

Works perfectly! in code readers and scan tools

While there is a really good Bluetooth device from another manufacturer, it doesn't support all the protocols I need for a specific computer diagnostics application. This particular scan tool supported this protocol, allowing me to run my diagnostic tool to support the 2012 Triumph Tiger 800 XC. I don't know if it's a clone or real chip but I do know it worked fine without driver gymnastics. That's a big problem for this device in its price range.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Only available in black

Worked great to diagnose a problem on my bike

I bought this to use with a free diagnostic software application (TigerTool) developed for some Triumph bikes to reset the service intervals, Bleed the ABS brakes and check the throttle damper. Read/Clear Body Balance and ECU Trouble Codes. The software developer recommended this particular brand of OBD-II scanner "bbfly" because he developed the software for the specific FTDI chip in that scanner. Apparently there are some cheap scanners on the market that use cloned chips (I don't know the…
