I needed this to repair my 10 year old Promeida 2.1 speaker system. When I ordered the OEM part wasn't available so I gave it a try. This will work, but with some tradeoffs. The woofer fits in the cutout, but note that the black grille is useless as it's too loose now. However, I have it under my desk so it's not a big deal. Also, the plugs inside the speaker system are different sizes, one fits and the other is smaller and doesn't work. I solved this problem by cutting off the subwoofer connector, but if you want a better solution, changing the cable at the speaker shouldn't be too difficult. The sound quality is good, but in my objective opinion I preferred the original speaker. But a worthy compromise for the price.
