I installed this part about a year ago (Summer 2012) after the tailgate on my 2000 Grand Cherokee kept us stuck. In fact, this part would have taken no more than 20 minutes to fit, it fitted perfectly and has been working flawlessly ever since. Easily $40 less than what the local dealer was asking for an OEM part. One word of advice, before attempting to install this part, first do a google search and find a website that describes how to do it and may show some pictures. Also, you'll probably want some small plastic clips holding the inner panel to the sunroof, as it's almost impossible to remove this panel without damaging some of these clips. I was very careful and still broke about 1/2 of them. They're not meant to be reused, so it's inevitable that some of them will break.
