Review on Monster MBL FM XMTR300 Discontinued Manufacturer by Curtis Sherman

Piece of shit, the best FM stations

This product is terrible. First of all, you can only tune into one of the three stations you have programmed. If these three stations are not giving you a clear signal now, you will need to reprogram one of the stations to the new station you wish to use. And there's no way of knowing if a new transmitter will work until you've bothered to reprogram one of the buttons. Second, the audio jack will not fit into my phone's headphone jack unless I take my phone case off. The main reason I bought the transmitter with an audio jack instead of the regular iPhone jack was so I didn't have to remove my dedicated battery case every time I wanted to play music in the car. Third, the sound from my car speakers is VERY quiet, so I have to turn up the volume to hear it. This means I have to remember to turn it off every time I switch to radio/CD player or even just turn off the car because otherwise the radio will blare. And fourth, every station I tried to tune in had a lot of interference. And that's not enough to tune into the transmitter I used to use with my old transmitter. The first available station is about three stations higher than the good one that actually worked. I wasn't happy with my old transmitter as it often popped out of the cigarette lighter while driving because it was also a mount but at least the sound was good and it also charged my phone/ipod which this one doesn't work ( I know the product description doesn't say this, I was just hoping it was an optional feature that isn't listed as I couldn't find a good transmitter/charger that I like and fits my needs.) In the Indeed this is crap for the money you pay for it.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
