Review on Noise Cancelling Sleep Therapy: Yogasleep Dohm Classic (Pink) White Noise Machine by Brett Martinez

"Marpac" brand Dohms were good. Then "Serious Sleep Specialists" Dohms were. just. OK/passable. Yoga sleep brand Dohms are not good. It seems with every buyout and rebrand and new company that takes over this product, there is serious degradation, with the current generation being the worst yet.The product rattled before turning it on, and worse when on of course. Even ignoring the rattling to continue the test, I checked the product to see if it would vibrate on various surfaces and cause any unwanted secondary sounds/tones/hums aside from the desired fan sound - and it did hum and vibrate. So, perhaps the device I received was busted, but it's still caused a vibration and secondary noise. The sliders to vary the tone and pitch just felt. cheap and frail and chincy (when compared the the original Marpac which would glide easily but not click and clack back and forth without any tension - some slide resistance/tightness/firmness is desired when adjusting the device [and yes, I know that sounded very, very naughty]).So, I wanted to love it. I know the potential. I've owned others and wanted another. Unfortunately over the years the various companies and their changes to save a penny have cost them a good product. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
