Review on GIGABYTE Z490 AORUS ALC1220 VB Motherboard by Andrew Dickens

Overwall Motherboard is pretty good. The workmanship and attention to detail is very pleasing. The BIOS also has MANY features, HOWEVER, this and other high-end Gigabyte motherboards have a serious coil whistling issue due to the VRMs used. You get a high pitched screeching noise no matter what you do on the system. I originally had an Aorus Master that had the same problem, I got it as a replacement and the problem was WORSE. It got to the point where sitting at the table was really uncomfortable and my heart ached. Replaced this with an ASUS Hero and there were no issues or squeaks. Gigabyte isn't quite there with its products yet. I will probably give them another chance in another 5 years if I decide to upgrade again.
