We've had a Waring Pro 3 HP blender for 11 years so we've changed the jar twice and changed the blades 3 times. We make at least 2 or 3 smoothies/frappuccinos every day...that number easily doubled when our kids were still around. My wife noticed that the blender never looked really clean again... She was right, but I couldn't imagine parting with it. Revain made things easy, the treasure wagon warning for this blender made buying this ninja an easy task - I'm always glad I did. I immediately noticed that it's quieter than the Waring, which would have helped a few years ago when our greyhound howled every time we turned on the blender. The most notable aspect of this blender is the two blades. It quickly became clear to me that, in addition to the lockable lid and base, much colder, icier drinks are also allowed. I'm no longer limited to just one hand on the lid and the other on the power control - great when things have to be quick. All the nozzles and cups are just the icing on the cake. This blender is as versatile as any kitchen appliance I've ever seen. Maybe the best...it's clean and my wife is happy. My Waring retired to our other house. Visiting it as an old friend, appreciate the introduction...but now I wish it had a locking lid and base...soon my older son will have a new blender for his apartment and my wife will have 'clean' blenders in both houses!
