A good buy, but only for certain stairs.
The installation instructions were so vague that I had to use YouTube to find out the best and safest way to install it. This product is intended for installation in concrete. However, I installed it in thick hardwood with longer screws. It worked well, but it's too heavy for cheaper, thinner, or softer woods. Written that for external use. However, my house was built by a bricklayer and he used thicker hardwood for the three steps in my house. I would not recommend installing this product on anything less than three inches thick. The tree breaks easily under his weight.
- EASY INSTALLATION: The porch railing is easy to assemble with an accessory kit that includes 8 M8 bolts, 8 wood screws, 8 wall plugs, 2 Allen keys and 1 open-end wrench. Simply select the desired location, mark, drill holes on the mounting surface, insert screws and finally place the base plate onto the fastener. It only takes a few minutes to complete the installation.
