Review on 🍾 Stainless Steel True Virtuoso Easy Lever Corkscrew with Ergonomic Soft Touch Handle by Heather Morales

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Barely enough: bar and wine tools

This bottle opener doesn't pull corks out all the way; After lifting the lever, the cork base always stays in the bottle. At this point you need to grab the body of the opener and manually pull out the cork. Also, the lever is a bit uncomfortable and requires a lot of effort. In my opinion the Brookstone opener is better although it costs more. My Brookstone lasted a few years and that's all you can expect. Cooks Illustrated magazine recently reviewed wine openers, giving the Oggi Nautilus corkscrew the highest rating. It is not clear if the Nautilus corkscrew sold by True Fabrications is the same item, although the images appear to be identical. Update (15 August 2011): This device broke after less than four months of use; The company sent a replacement as soon as I provided them with a copy of the Revain invoice. Update (04/17/2014): The exchange took several years, but broke again. This device isn't made to last, but I think you get what you pay for.
