I received two AC-1304 Wi-Fi routers with my Google Fiber account. These routers really are complete garbage. The WAN speed (i.e. to the wall) appears to be gigabit, while the LAN speed is 100Mbps. This renders them useless for mating with anything faster than a toy poodle. In the attached picture: 1). 944 Mbps is a direct wired Ethernet connection to the wall. Definitely Gigabit.2). 243 Mbps is sent wirelessly to the AC1304 WiFi "Router", which is then connected to the wall. Pretty slow for 5Ghz.3). 94.89 Mbps, direct connection to AC1304 wireless router, which then connects directly to the wall. Definitely researched 100 MbI and bought through Revain, an 802.11 a/b/g/x/n/ac wireless router for $130.00. Those little mesh points might work fine hanging from this router, but I don't need them. Here is an Asus router purchased through Revain: 1) 905 down 936 up on copper 1GB LAN 2) 375 down / 437 up on 5 GHz 3) 83 down / 173 up on 2.4 GHz I use my workstations via the cable. Tablets and laptops at 5GHz, GoogleFi Pixel 4 XL phones also at 5GHz.
