I bought these headphones for my 3 month old granddaughter who was traveling with me. My daughter and I put them on her and she slept through all the noise at the airport, on the plane including the plane taking off, and the captain on the intercom. Several other babies were crying and I felt so bad at the thought that their little ears must be hurting from the pressure. Not sure if they just block noise or somehow protect ears from pressure but I'm so glad I bought them. She will be able to use them for many years as they are adjustable in size. Just a precaution, make sure the earbuds are properly seated on your ear. When I first put them on, one of my granddaughter's ears was flipped back, so just make sure they're in place.
