These couplings have one main function. The one we wanted to deal with will have lower revs than it should be. I saw similar reviews but due to the limited options I found on Amazon decided to take a chance, specifically the ten prongs to lower the top speed of the cart. Very few engines I've used would idle at a sufficiently low RPM for this clutch to be useful. I'm talking about very old engines idling that run fine at very low revs. If you buy this clutch and it seizes up a little at normal idle, do not use it as it gets very hot and the heat will simply weaken the spring(s) meaning it will soon seize even at lower RPM. All it takes is basic quality control to test them before they go on sale. In any case, this company doesn't really care what you get. The American flag has no place next to this clutch in the picture. Do a simple internet search for the company to get an idea of what you're getting. Find something good and spend the extra $20-$30 on something that serves your kids. I put on the old one first, it works much better. Hope that helps.
