Review on πŸ”œ Seagate Backup Plus Slim STHN2000400 2TB Portable Hard Drive - Black: Your Reliable External Storage Solution by Adam Woods ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best I ever used, recommend it to everybody.

If you male commentators didn't have any banter, I don't understand why you were so fixated on the length of the cable. This is the perfect length for a cable to connect to a mobile device because it is neither too short nor too long. However, if you are not happy with the length of the standard cable, there is nothing stopping you from purchasing another cable of the length that you prefer. I have been using external hard drives for a long time; I purchased the first one for spare parts. At the time, there were no ready-made solutions on the market; only boxes were available. As a result, I assembled it; consequently, the cable on the first one bought separately (box, 2.5" HDD, cable) was longer than the cables on the other drives, which were all ready-made solutions from different manufacturers and were approximately the same length, give or take 5 centimeters.

Pros
  • The write speed was the first thing that piqued my interest. I connected it to a USB 3.0 port (I don't have any others) and decided to free up space on the internal SSD drive of my computer. I copied 42 GB of random garbage while the average write speed was 93 MB/s. At its highest point, it reached 139 MB per second. Everything is being READ at an average speed of 32 MB / s from an older external hard drive, and WRITE to this one is happening at a speed that is three times quicker. To begin, it takes up a fair amount of space, which is a plus.
Cons
  • The cable is too long; the total length of the wire is as much as 38 centimeters, and it won't fit in my head. The previous hard drive, which was also manufactured by Seagate, had a length of 35 centimeters, and it was just about perfect; however, the current length of 38 centimeters is terrible, just terrible.
