Review on Vintage Style Grensk Dimmable LED Edison Bulbs - 3 Pack by Tom Plowman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great old-fashioned look, and dimmable too

(Update: I ordered another three-pack of this style bulb from a different manufacturer, thinking I could mix and match, in spite of these being rated as 1600 lumen and the others being 1700. I was sorely mistaken. Using my light meter and using the identical setup I measured these to be over 10% brighter than the others. If there is anything I have found it is in LED lighting the stated lumen rating is nothing more than a general suggestion. So it is wise to order full sets for the lights you want to use, unless you enjoy variety.)Got these to go in the new vanity lights I will be using in the remodel. I wanted something a little more interesting since most vanity lighting I find repetitious and almost boring. They come well packaged and are really bright. That is why I like the idea that they are dimmable. As my wife said, these are so bright you never are going to let me turn them one. To that I replied, but I will install a dimmer switch and then I will not need to go blind when you turn them on. Plus these are 2700 degree lights, which means they will cast a nice warm white. Good for vanity lighting.I really like the look they provide. I know many interior designers now are using this style bulb in modern settings, but I think they go equally well in a more old-fashioned setting. And the steampunk crowd has found a use for them as well. In other words, they are a versatile yet fashionable bulb that definitely is not boring. I am running around trying them in all of our various fixtures in this house. They do look nice when lit as opposed to when they are off. Those yellow filaments stand out quite a bit. Kind of wish they weren't quite so prominent.A good value in a three-pack, which is just what I needed.
