Fun toy, but not great for really aggressive chewers

Our Australian Shepherd pup is an aggressive chewer, and while I was still in my phase of trying to find something semi-plush that he could chew on I gave this a try. I also wanted something fun to throw for him to catch, as he's very agile and a good jumper. As cloth-based toys go it is pretty durable, but my dog still managed to destroy it in record time. If you have a dog like this, plan on it lasting a little longer than your standard plush toy. Also, take it away from the dog before he…

Pros
  • Chew-proof design stands up to even the toughest chewers
Cons
  • The toy may not be very stimulating to some dogs

Tough toy, but my dog didn't go for it

This is definitely a well made toy. My dog loves to tear the stuffing out of plush toys, and she wouldn't have a chance of tearing this one up! Unfortunately, it's so tough that she wouldn't even touch it. For her, it fell into the category with kongs and tennis balls and plastic toys which are generally ignored. I did pass it on to a friend's lab puppy who enjoys playing with it, so it gets 4-stars. It just isn't for every dog.

Pros
  • Toys
Cons
  • The toy may not bounce very well

Dog ripped edge off easy. Ruined in 4 days

Nope. Still haven't found the answer to a toy for our 38 lb lab mix. She likes to rip and she found this toys weakness, the outer seam in minutes. The main part of it the red fabric held up ok til she got the seam appart and could get at the edge. Got it 4 days ago and it's going in trash as stuffing coming out now. Picture with less damage was after 5 to ten minutes of play final picture was maybe 30. as the seams started breaking down 2.5 inch or so threads were coming off so I took it away…

Pros
  • Extremely durable construction for long-lasting use
Cons
  • The toy may be too soft for some dogs

great toy for dogs: my feedback

This is our third ring in four years for our very energetic vizsla. She loves this toy and plays with it everyday, and thus it gets a lot of wear and tear. For a cloth toy, it does fantastic and I am amazed that it lasts a little over a year each time with the amount of play that it has. We even do tug of war with it. I will admit that the sqeakers pop pretty soon after we get it, but frankly, they all do, so I cannot give it less stars for that fault. I highly recommend this Tuffy ring.

Pros
  • This ring is perfect for our 35 lb. jack russell/whippet. It's easy for
Cons
  • Seems tough but edges give out lasted 2 days with only using it a few times.

Not a great toy for my dog, but could be for yours:)

I purchased the Tuffy dog bone.pink leopard, and that too was rated a 9 on the Tuff scale as this Ring Dog Toy is. My 14 month old 40lb Aussie Sheppard mix managed to tear the bone and pull out the some stuffing in less than 24 hours. (which is better than the hour she had with the Tuffy shark toy a few months ago!) I ended up sending the toys back (the ring toy unopened) because of this. I'm not sure that the toys are made poorly, we just happen to have a dog who likes to USE them! She will…

Pros
  • Perfect for teething puppies or aggressive chewers
Cons
  • The toy may be too hard for some dogs

A little less sturdy, but so well loved.

My dogs are monsters and rip apart any and all toys they receive. This was no different. They were particularly driven to get the squeakers out of the toy. Even after they did, the toys are still a favorite. I removed all the stuffing and squeak toys and they still fling 'em around. I also want to mention that the squeakers aren't as loud and high pitched as I find most dog toys to be.

Pros
  • Encourages healthy physical activity and exercise
Cons
  • The toy may not hold up well to heavy chewing

Tuff toy for tuff dog

We have a 70 lb rescue that loves this toy and it usually lasts him six months or so. Which is far better than most toys he destroys in 1/2 hr or less. Great toy for a good price and can't be prime shipping. Keep up the good work.

Pros
  • Can help reduce unwanted barking and other negative behavior
Cons
  • The toy may not be very durable in a household with rough play

Worth the money for my active, big dog!

This is another durable toy well worth its money. No dog toy lasts forever, but with my overgrown puppy, a huge rescued animal, this is a winner. It's too small to really play tug-o-war with (see their Ultimates Tug-O-War Dog Toy) but we tussle around and he loves it. If you have a large chewer, the money you spend on these longer lasting toys is really worth it.

Pros
  • Can withstand rough play and heavy use
Cons
  • The toy may be too small to get a good grip on

Not chew-proof, but pretty tough

My dog is one of those, chew-it-with-her-back-teeth-until-its-destroyed-in-less-than-an-hour kind of dogs. She's been working on this for almost 5 days and just has the edge a little frayed. (this pic was before I trimmed it off.) I'm here to buy another one.

Pros
  • Ideal for interactive play with your furry friend
Cons
  • The toy may be too difficult for some dogs to chew on

Would buy again: my feedback

My dog loves this toy! It’s durable but not indestructible, he’s able to throw it himself and it’s super funny when he flips it up and can’t see 😂

Pros
  • Made from non-toxic materials for safe playtime
Cons
  • The toy may be too expensive for some pet owners' budgets

Doesn’t last long AT ALL

I have a Rottweiler and she had all layers of stitching off within a couple of hours, this toy didn’t even last 24 hours. Still on the hunt for a soft toy that will last.

Pros
  • Good for calming down agitated or anxious dogs
Cons
  • The toy may not be sustainable for long-term play

Very durable toy on my review.

Our Golden Retriever loves this toy. We normally don't let him chew it for any length of time but the few occasions he has it has barely made a dent. It doesn't fly great but it's acceptable. If his nose gets in the ring, he runs 'blind' which caused him to run into a wall once. (He was fine & we couldn't help but giggle at his surprised look.)

Pros
  • Rated 9 on the TuffScale™
Cons
  • The toy is not machine washable

Not Very Durable At All

My dog is not an aggressive chewer, but she still ripped through the thin fabric on the body of this toy in just a few days. Only the edges have reinforced stitching. Most of the toy is thin, easily-ripped fabric. Very disappointed in what was supposed to be a tough, long-lasting toy. Not worth the money.

Pros
  • Suitable for small, medium, and large breeds
Cons
  • The toy may not be suitable for older dogs with weaker jaws

Get it. You won’t regret it!

My 7month old GSD destroys all soft toys. Thanks to Tick Tock of all things another dog owner said he has the same struggles with his pit bull until he got this and oh my goodness it survives! My GSD loves this ring. It is rated at a 9 on the scale from the company. We will definitely be buying more toys from them!

Pros
  • The ring shape encourages natural chewing and biting habits
Cons
  • The toy may not be very durable in a household with multiple dogs

Ours lasted 5 months

Our one year old Pomeranian/American Eskimo puppy is a very energetic player who LOVES stuffing, and any regular stuffed animal has been ripped apart in less than a minute. However, when our puppy learned he couldn't rip this apart very easily, he stopped trying! He loves all the squeakers, and he loves to put his little face in the hole and playing chase with you after you throw it. It has definitely been his most durable and favorite toy over all his bones, balls and squeaky toys (right next…

Pros
  • Can float on water for added versatility
Cons
  • The toy may be too crunchy or loud for some dogs' liking

New Favorite Toy - my new review

This is the 2nd time I have purchased the TUFFY ring for Lacey. It is her favorite toy. It is sturdier than any other toy I have purchased for her. She kills the squeaker right away but can't tear up the fabric. She carries it over her face which makes everyone laugh.

Pros
  • Suitable for all types of breeds and sizes
Cons
  • The toy may not be very engaging for dogs who prefer to play solo

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Lasted longer than most! About 1 hour

Our Coonhound enjoyed this toy a lot, but it doesn't last much longer than any other fabric toy, if you leave them alone with it for a few minutes.

Pros
  • The durable construction saves money on replacement toys
Cons
  • The toy may harbor bacteria if not cleaned properly

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Tough, but not very squeaky

This is definitely tough. Our dachsund makes it her mission to immediately destroy all stuffed toys she's given. Other than a few loose threads, she's barely tarnished this toy (usually she has stuffed animals shredded in under 5 minutes). Sadly though, the squeaky bits were all broken except one, and it's not very squeaky either. Thus, our pup loses interest quickly.

Pros
  • Perfect for pets with high energy levels
Cons
  • The toy may break apart and become a choking hazard

Finally a dog toy worth the money

Finally a dog toy that has lasted. I have a miniature dachshund and I have tried almost every squeak toy out there (tough or not), and this is about the only one that I have found that he has not completely destroyed within minutes. It is stupid big for him, but that's okay.he loves it and it isn't destroyed yet. Most toys only last a few minutes.maybe an hour tops. This toy has lasted for a few months now and it only has a small tear in it that hasn't really gotten any worse. When I saw the…

Pros
  • Promotes a healthy lifestyle and positive habits
Cons
  • The toy may have sharp edges that could cut a dog's mouth

The only toy for my power chewer

I have a Wheaten Terrier, and although many "tough" products say they're tough, 98% of toys don't last more than an hour in our house. This is our 3rd Tuffy ring in as many years because it's the only thing that can handle him. We've tried the non-stuffed, "ultra tough" ones- lasted 30 minutes. Although the squeakers die after a few days of CONSTANT use, it's his favorite toy, even after he finally tears it open. It's the most coveted toy in our house, and he hides it whenever we have visitors…

Pros
  • Good for sensory stimulation in dogs
Cons
  • The toy may contain materials that some pet owners may not find appealing
