I bought 50ft of 1/4" hose to use with my portable compressor. I then shortened it to 15ft and 35ft and used replacement Flexzilla fittings. It worked great The tubing was easy to razor cut and replace Tips fit perfectly The replacement tips were their pro line so it gave me a great opportunity to compare the pro head to the standard head The heads on both are aluminum I think the only thing that's really different is the strain relief The Pro is spiral shaped and made out of a very flexible plastic while the standard version is made out of a hard rubber-like material They both do a great job of removing the flex point from the metal fitting so I think that both work fine and no cause you have no problems For everyday use I would probably prefer a pro ie a the spiral allows it to hang a little better meaning you're effectively extending your air tool to a flexible 3" instead of the solid 5" as standard. I also have a 6 year old 3/8 Flexzilla hose reel. The 1/4 inch thickness is obviously much less, but both have the same level of flexibility. You can make a very small radius and it still won't twist. Works well in all weather conditions. a bit rubbery so it can get stuck when you try to drag it around the corner of a wall. I really love flexzilla hoses and will never go back to those cheap plastic hoses.
