Review on 🍵 Cuisinart Stainless Steel Cordless Electric Kettle - CPK-17 PerfecTemp 1.7-Liter Silver by Justin Rashid

UPDATE: I am updating this review after discovering a dangerous fault with this kettle. The kettle should turn off automatically when it's boiling and it usually does, but every few weeks it just won't turn off, it just keeps boiling even with all the lights off. Luckily I was home every time that happened so I turned it off to turn it off. Even removing it from the base doesn't turn it off as it just starts cooking again when you put it down. If it had stayed like this all the water would have boiled off and as the kettle thinks it's gone already I'm not sure what will happen at this point. It has a feature that turns it off when it's out of water, but works when it's on and I'm not sure if it works when it thinks it's off. I reported this to Cuisinart customer service but apart from getting a 20% discount on a new kettle it didn't seem to bother me too much. I had high hopes for this kettle as it had some features I didn't like that much and the durability left a lot to be desired. The first issue was the warning sound when cooking, which is an important feature. It's almost inaudible, 3 beeps from the board mounted device, not even audible through boiling water, so quiet. Since it shuts off automatically after boiling, you end up going over to check it, then restart it and wait 30 seconds for it to boil again. Also, all the button lettering wears out within a few weeks and now my lid is broken and won't open when I press the button, so I have to pry it open with my fingernails. The lid cannot be removed to clean the inside. There is also a dark stain on the bottom, although it only contained tap water. I don't know what the brown stuff is but given all the other issues this is not the kettle I would recommend and now I have to buy another kettle after spending a lot of money on this one. I have Milwaukee power tools that cost less and have a 5 year warranty, so I'm not sure why Cuisinart can't do it a little bit better.
