Review on Dorman 924 909 Ignition Cylinder Select by Delos Montano

I have a problem with the block. The installation went quite well after figuring out what position the key should be in to install the cylinder. The problem is that the car's elementary computer thinks there's a key in the ignition all the time. An alarm is triggered when the door is opened without a key in the ignition lock. The original part doesn't do this, but it was worn and sticking. Rather than return the cylinder I removed the door alarm lock so it doesn't ring now but I also have no interior light when I open the door. I think I can live with that until I find a permanent solution.
