Does not split 4k and keeps 4k quality. Audio signal cannot be divided.
Follow up. After further research I realized that this was not the right product for me. The HDMI splitter does not work to send the audio signal to the receiver. I needed an HDMI audio extractor. This article didn't work for me. I used this on my DirecTV hoping to split one signal to my TV and the other to my receiver. When I used the splitter the video stream dropped from 4k to 1080i. The receiver never received a beep.
