Review on 🚘 TH190T Throttle Position Sensor by Standard Motor Products by Jeff Addison

Revainrating 5 out of 5

worked as intended. Should have known earlier to replace my old one.

my 2002 jeep grand cherokee had a constant engine idle problem where the rpm would rise and fall for a while until the engine stalled. He recently did it on the freeway which resulted in the lack of high gear causing the car to jerk when accelerating from 30 to 40 mph. Because the engine was "racing," driving was as if it were in low gear with no downshift engaged. To the point that the ride was very uncomfortable. Two mechanics inspected it and found no problems as there is no error code to indicate a TPS error. I have replaced my ICV with no success. As soon as I replaced my TPS with the TH190T, all my problems stopped. It only took me 30 minutes to swap it out. The engine starts at 1000 rpm and returns to normal idle at 600 rpm after about 30 seconds. No more skipping gears while driving, more power when accelerating and it's much quieter now. Also, the car started normally at 6F. Anyone having a similar problem doesn't waste money, just buy this inexpensive part and fix the problem. Would buy again.
